This statement is very true because it states that if you say everything as a truth but make one lie the whole thing is a lie. So it's trying to say to not just say half of a lie and say the truth. An example is if you are taking a test and do all questions truthfully but lie in the last one then then you pretty much just lied in the whole test. Another example is that if you are telling your friend something and all was truthfully except one then you just told your all lies. If you don't lie then you'll have a clean conscience everytime you are speaking. This is an amazing quote from Victor Hugo.You will always get good results if you say the truth fully. This is just my opinion other people have different opinions then me and that's okay.
